Výstava Zero Budget slovenskej umelkyne Martinky Bobríkovej a španielskeho umelca Oscara de Carmen, absolventov Universidad de la Laguna, Facultad de Bellas Artes, Tenerife v Španielsku, je prvou prezentáciou ich tvorby na Slovensku.
Tvorba tejto umeleckej dvojice balansuje na pomedzí umenia a sociálneho aktivizmu zahrňujúc viaceré umelecké druhy od videa, zvukových inštalácií, performance až po urbánne intervencie. Mnohé z ich diel vznikli v súvislosti s ich aktívnym a vedomým vnímaním súčasných schém produkcie, konzumných návykov spoločnosti a nerozumného až ignorantského zaobchádzania s potravinami, na ktoré sa prostredníctvom svojich inštalácií, akcií snažia poukázať a  zaujať kritické stanovisko.
Prezentovaná inštalácia vychádza z ich dlhodobého výskumu možností generovania energie z prebytočného ovocia a zeleniny. Prostredníctvom jednoduchého open hardwaru je energia získaná zo zeleniny a ovocia pretransformovaná cez elektrické obvody do zvukových a obrazových inštalácií. Okrem zaujímavého vizuálneho a zvukového výstupu sa diela Martinky Bobríkovej a Oscara de Carmen stávajú i sociálnou kritikou dnešnej konzumnej spoločnosti a možno ponúkajú i istú alternatívu ďalšieho využitia ovocia a zeleniny, ktoré boli obchodnými reťazcami považované už za prebytočné a nevhodné na predaj.

The exhibition Zero Budget of Martinka Bobríková and Oscar de Carmen, graduates of Universidad de la Laguna, Facultad de Bellas Artes, Tenerife in Spain, is their first show in Slovakia.The artistic practice of this artistic couple is located somewhere in the crossover between art and social activism encompassing various art media ranging from video, sound installations, performance to urban interventions. Most of their works have been created in connection with their active and conscious perception of current patterns of production, consuming habits of the society and unreasonable, almost indifferent handling of groceries. All this is reflected in their installations and actions often possessing a strong critical approach. The presented installation is based on their long lasting research of the possibilities of generating the energy from redundant fruit and vegetables. By means of a simple open hardware the energy acquired from fruit and vegetables is transformed through integrated circuits into audio-visual installations. Apart from an interesting audio-visual form the installations of Martinka Bobríková and Oscar de Carmen become the social criticism of the current consumerist society and also offer a certain alternative for a further use of fruit and vegetables which were considered as redundant and unsalable by superstore chains.

Výstava NÁVODY na vytváranie potrebných vecí a dojmov  je prvou spoločnou výstavou manželskej dvojice autorov Antona Čierneho a Pavlíny Fichty Čiernej na Slovensku, v ktorej sa autori rozhodli reflektovať a tematizovať problematiku návodov a inštruktáží.
Návody ako súhrn pokynov dotýkajúcich sa rôznych oblastí verejného či súkromného života človeka sú každému z nás dobre známe. Ponúkajú špecifickú orientačnú štruktúru v živote človeka v rozmedzí od inštruktážnych filmov poskytujúcich pokyny pre aktivity spojené s verejným životom až po rôzne rodinné recepty, návody, či kódy správania sa jednotlivca vo verejnom a súkromnom živote.
Každý z autorov pristupuje k téme inštruktáží individuálne. Napriek tomu sú jednotlivé diela organicky prepojené a spája ich spoločný záujem umelcov o spoločensko-historické a politické problémy s dôrazom na spoločenskú sondu odzrkadľujúcu krízu tradičných hodnôt v súčasnej spoločnosti. Ich inštruktáže môžu byť preto chápané i ako  nostalgické ohliadnutie sa, či „návrat" umelcov do minulosti avšak forma spracovania je nanajvýš súčasná, refletujúca individuálne autorské prístupy.
Odlišnosť nastupuje pri ich reflektovaní, kde sa zreteľne prejavuje isté gendrové vnímanie daných tém - mužský a ženský princíp. Prístup Pavlíny Fichty Čiernej je charakteristický priblížením a vcítením sa do problémov jednotlivca. Odráža autorkin osobný prístup poväčšine nesúci silné emocionálne konotácie a snahu preniknúť a pochopiť intimitu jednotlivca. Z formálneho hladiska sú prezentované videá jednoduché a čisté.Na druhej strane Anton Čierny pristupuje k riešeniu problémov racionálne, skúma fakty, analyzuje, snažiac sa o kriticko-analytickú reflexiu sociálno-politickej reality. Pavlína ako žena ponúka citlivejší, empatickejší pohľad na skôr témy z privátnej sféry, kým Anton predstavuje praktickejšie riešenia všeobecnejších úloh.
Inštruktáže nie sú tematicky vymedzené, avšak spája ich istá vnútorná logická niť. Autori si voľne vyberajú témy viac menej súvisiace s ich spomienkami a osobným prežívaním. Vytvárajú pokyny na rôzne spektrum ľudských činností, niekedy až absurdného charakteru, čím i jemne ironizujú potrebu ľudskej spoločnosti neustále vytvárať isté pravidlá.
Obidvaja autori majú za sebou množstvo profesionálnych úspechov v podobe zahraničných pobytov a výstav v zahraničných galériách ako aj skupinových a sólových výstav na Slovensku. Prvýkrát im však bude venovaný priestor ako autorskej dvojici.

The exhibition DIRECTIONS to create necessary things and impressions is a first joint show of the couple Anton Čierny and Pavlína Fichta Čierna in Slovakia. In their works the artists reflect and thematize the issue of directions and instructions.
Directions as a group of advices referring to various fields of public or private life of a man are known to everyone. They provide us with a specific orientational structure ranging from instructional films offering directions for the activities of the public life to various family recipes, instructions, manuals or codes of behavior.
Each of the authors approaches the theme individually. In spite of that all the works are organically intertwined and supported by a common interest of the artists in socio-historical and political issues with an emphases on a social survey reflecting the crisis of traditional values in current society. Therefore their instructions can be perceived also  as a nostalgic look or „return" of the artists back to the past however the form of their realization is up-to-date at the most.
The difference appears in the way the artists reflect the issues. There is evidently a certain gender perception of the themes - male and female principle.  Pavlína Fichta Čierna`s approach is characterised by an empathy - the ability to understand and share the feelings of an individual. It reflects author`s personal approach usually bearing strong emotional connotations and an attempt to get in and understand the intimacy of an individual. Formally the presented videos are simple. On the other hand Anton Čierny approaches the problems rationally, investigates and analyzes the facts trying to provide a critical and analytical reflection of the socio-political reality.  Pavlina as a woman creates a sensitive, more empathic view of the themes connected with the private life while Anton represents practical solutions of more general tasks.
Dirtections are not thematically bound but there is an existing logical thread. The authors freely choose the themes more or less connected with their memories and personal experiences. They create directions for various human activities, sometimes of an absurd character thus gently ironizing the need of a human society to constantly create certain rules.
The both artists have been exhibiting extensively in Slovakia but also abroad but this is the first time when they are presented as an artistic couple.
 
The project was realized thanks to the support of: EGO Zlin, Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic and Nadacia centrum sucasneho umenia.

SPACE pripravil pre festival Pohoda slameny domcek - Pohoda house, v ktorom si navstevnici festivalu mozu oddychnut a stretnut sa s  tvorbou mladych slovenskych experimentalnych autorov. Domcek Pohoda house projektoval vychodoslovensky multimedialny umelec Peter Kralik, znamy ako zakladatel agrarnej sekcie Strany Zeleznych.Okrem jeho tvorby si navstevnici mozu zakreslit v detskom kutiku pre dospelych, ktory pripravila Eja Deveckova, alebo pozriet videoart Maji Stefancikovej, Lucie Micikovej a Zuzany Zabkovej. Autormi koncepcie prezentacie su Peter Barenyi, Katarina Slaninova a Juraj Carny.

For the music festival Pohoda SPACE has devised a straw Pohoda House which provides the visitors of the festival with a place where they can relax and get acquainted with work of young experimental Slovak artists. The Pohoda house was desihned by a young Eastern Slovakian artist Peter Kralik, known as a founder of a agrarian section of the Iron Party. Besides his work the visitors can draw in a children`s corner for the adults prepared by Eja Deveckova, or watch the video works by Maja Stefancikova, Lucie Micikova and Zuzana Zabkova. The conception of the project was created by Peter Barenyi, Katarina Slaninova and Juraj Carny.

The collaborative archiving project 'Transitland', was realized on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall. It presents a selection of 100 single-channel video works, produced in the period 1989-2009 and reflecting the transformations in post-socialist Central and Eastern Europe. The selection of works was made by an international jury from 350 videos, proposed by 40 nominators - curators, art critics and artists.

The project focuses on an extensive and turbulent time and space span. The territory of 'Transitland' is quite close to being a half of Europe - population and territory wise. Once called as the 'Eastern bloc' without further specification, it was conceived as somewhat homogeneous, dark side of Europe behind the Iron Curtain. Central and Eastern Europe with different sub-regions now covers 24 post-socialist European countries. Twenty years ago this territory belonged to only 9 states.

'
Transitland' is not only the widest-spanning presentation of video art from Central and Eastern Europe but also a unique attempt to address and reflect upon an extensive period of transformation and changes. The mere breadth of time and geography and the complexity of the transition process are still beyond perception not only from outside but also within the region. Besides the numerous discursive and documentary attempts to describe, analyze and contextualize the transformations, a multitude of viewpoints and aspects, presented through the media of video art are meant to provide a unique asset of aesthetic and critical positions to the current discourse on the transition period.
